Working in watercolour, pencils, or digital media Nicola loves mark making, bold colour, and creating lively, expressive images. With a foundation in illustration and fine art, Nicola is currently working on several picture book ideas and seeking representation. She is a member of SCBWI and the Society of Visual Storytelling.
Also an admin for the Reading chapter of Urban Sketchers, she documents in her sketchbook everything from theatre productions and local events to the everyday spaces around us. She is fascinated by the changing light and negative space within a scene.
