My first year at primary school the fancy dress theme for the May Day festival was "at the bottom of the garden" and I went as a sunflower. I wore a green velvet dress with a ladybird brooch, green tights and cardboard petals and leaves.
I spent a lovely afternoon yesterday with @rdgsketchers at Caversham lock, sketching the river and weir. I'd planned on moving around and doing a few different scenes but it was so hot so I just melted in one place instead.
I finally made it to the @rdgbiscuitfactory today - it's much bigger inside than I thought!
This is a watercolour sketch of a rooftop dome in central Sarajevo when I was there a few years ago. It's looking down from my hotel room window.
Tweaked the previous image to give more contrast and generally add more darks. Swipe to see the full illustration. This is a page from a picture book I'm working on, and the newest addition to my portfolio because I like it so much :)
